Mission

The mission of the not-for-profit DSDM Consortium is to be the leading enabler of knowledge and learning for successful project delivery.

Organisational structure

To use the DSDM framework in any commercial way membership of the DSDM Consortium is required. DSDM is owned by the DSDM Consortium. The Consortium is a not-for-profit organisation. DSDM is available free of charge for individuals to use internally within their organisation.Anyone offering any DSDM related products or services external to their own organisation must become a Licensed Reseller of DSDM or they will be in breach of DSDM Consortium's copyright

Board of Directors

There are eleven directors, ten of whom are elected by the Members. Any individual member may offer themselves for election to the board at the Annual General Meeting. The Board of Directors is supported by a small staff at offices located in Ashford Kent, United Kingdom.

Napp Pharmaceuticals
Steve is currently Business Support Manager for Napp Pharmaceuticals. He has helped to implement agile methods, and particularly DSDM, into the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry. Steve is a Certified DSDM Practitioner, Trainer and Examiner and has co-authored papers on DSDM and PRINCE2, Applying DSDM in offshore environment and Using DSDM with PMBOK. Steve is also on the Consortium editorial board. Accredited in project management techniques such as PRINCE2 Steve still firmly believes the best training is through experience and in his 30 years has undertaken  all of the IT roles from trainee programmer through to project manager for large 6 figure projects.

Vic Page
NCC Education

Vic’s initial training was in electrical and electronic engineering. He worked for British Telecommunications (BT) from 1979 to 1997, initially as a network engineer, then in a number of software development roles and latterly as a software development team leader. During this time, he undertook postgraduate study in information systems design. After leaving BT, he worked as a lecturer at London Guildhall University; London Metropolitan University; and the University of Westminster. Vic joined Kingston University in 2007 where he is course director for the postgraduate programmes in Electronic Commerce, Information Systems and IT & Strategic Innovation. Vic's current research investigates the mitigation of obstacles within an agile information systems development environment.

Mary is a permanent board member and has been involved with the DSDM Consortium since 1995. She is responsible for the management of the day to day running of operations including membership administration, certification and training.
Andrew Craddock

 

Andrew Craddock

Andrew is an independent Agile Project Management Practitioner, Consultant, Trainer and Coach. He is a Certified DSDM Practitioner and Trainer and has over 10 years experience managing and helping others manage Agile software development and business change projects - almost exclusively in blue chip organisations. He is a core member of the next version work group. Andrew spent 13 years working for British Airways with his last three years as Process Improvement Manager for the IT department managing a programme of work to switch the IT project management and software development process from an outdated waterfall approach to one based on the Agile DSDM framework

Les Oliver Les Oliver

Les has a strong appreciation and knowledge of the benefits, practicalities and realities of Agile - and 40 years experience in IT. After some ten years on the "user side", Les joined Burroughs (later Unisys) in a pre-Sales Technical Support role. He soon moved into Sales and while at Unisys sold "everything from Mainframes through Packaged Software to Professional Services" - and later moved to Oracle and IBM. Les was first introduced to Agile in 2000 when he was the Principal at ThinkSpark, and within a couple of weeks had sold his first Agile project to a major Bank - and then soon after to an iDTV company. Les moved to ThoughtWorks as the UK Business Development Manager, and saw the UK practice grow from 6 to some 180 personnel. Les was introduced to DSDM and Atern in his role as Sales Director at RADTAC, and worked with RADTAC to sell the first Atern project to Rolls-Royce.  Les is the Head of Agile Services for Connections Agile Services, and the Marketing Director for the DSDM Consortium.
Keith Richards

Keith has 25 years experience in I.T. and project management. He is a Certified DSDM Practitioner and Trainer, PRINCE2 Practitioner and Trainer and a certified facilitator. Keith lead the work group that managed the delivery of the latest version of DSDM, Atern, which was launched in April 2007.  Currently specializing in the hybrid approach of using DSDM with PRINCE2, Keith has worked with a wide range of clients from 'DotComs' to large government organizations, Keith focuses on the practical and cultural sides of changing the process for delivering business benefit.

Barbara Roberts

Barbara Roberts is a Certified DSDM Consultant, Practitioner, Trainer, Examiner and a Certified Facilitator. She has been actively involved with the DSDM Consortium since running one of the DSDM early adopter projects in 1995. Barbara is responsible for professional development on the board and is also on the editorial board, as well as being a core member of the new version work group. Barbara has used DSDM in organisations of all sizes, ranging from small software development companies to large government organisations, introducing and rolling out DSDM and piloting and mentoring DSDM projects and people. Currently Barbara is mentoring and supporting the roll-out of DSDM in a major a finance organisation, both in the UK and India.

Katie Taylor Katie Taylor

Katie spent many years as a self employed consultant, working on a wide range of projects. She specialised in enabling communication between different levels of staff, especially during times of radical change. She is now Commercial Manager, Senior Lecturer and Course Leader of the MSc in Agile Software Projects within the School of Computing, Engineering & Physical Sciences. Katie is keen to expand the DSDM Academic Special Interest Group (SIG) to promote the teaching of Agile approaches on undergraduate programmes and to further research in the use of Agile within UK based organisations.
Dot Tudor

Dot is a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) and Director of GlobalFN. Dot is a Certified DSDM Practitioner, Trainer and examiner and is a core member of the next version work group.  She is a graduate in Mathematics, Statistics and English and has worked as facilitator, business analyst, systems analyst, programmer, systems implementer and project manager, with a wide variety of projects in both the public and private sectors. She specialises in project management, facilitation and business development methodologies, particularly Agile approaches, and supplies facilitation, consultancy and training both nationally and internationally.
